When you’ve just finished gutting through a tough lifting session, we don’t expect you to have the energy to put together an elaborate meal, or to wait forever for it to cook. You can make a mouth-watering dish before your sweat even dries by using just a Japanese sweet potato and your trusty jug of whey protein. Sweeter than a regular yam, the Japanese version takes on an icing-like texture when mixed with chocolate protein powder. Prepare it in advance and chill it in the fridge to enjoy when you get back from the gym, or make it fresh and serve it hot as a high-protein dessert.

Tale of Two Tubers

You may have thought they were the same, but yams and sweet potatoes aren’t created equal.
